African Goddess
I had to do a painting for school as well. Impressionism, Fauvism, and Expressionism. (All three styles in a week) This is Fauvism. And it was the best out of the three I had to do. I may paint a new one, or simply use my favorite medium, colored pencils. I may also post the other two (which weren't as good) and post an "updated version" of those paintings. But this one was my favorite, and I loved how it came out. I may have to get this one framed... :)
Dreamscape with Wind Turbines and Grassy Landscape
I had to do an "abstract landscape" for school- so here it is. When my family and I moved from Illinois to Tennessee, we passed by a wind farm, and I remember how beautiful the wind turbines were in the day time, and how amazing they were at night. I wanted to have something of a beautiful haunted feeling about this picture.
I really liked how the moon came out- I also tried to throw in a little perspective in here. I must have done a good job, because my sensei gave me an A! (Yay!)
This was the second drawing I did. I did not exactly get the effect I wanted (T-T)... I was sort of trying to make it unique and have it kind of like the viewer is laying down in the field. (I don't know why- I was trying to be different and stand out) But I got an A for this one too. I will likely have to try drawing a landscape again, and this time do what I wanted right. I only had a week to draw two landscapes, and so I had to put a rush on them. I usually do not like rushing my drawings, but that was what had to be done. But anyway, here they are in all their pride and glory. My Landscapes. :)

Close up of Avatar Cat!!
I wanted to do a self-portrait, but none of the sketches I came up with looked like me, nor were they good looking... Since I love manga and cats, I decided to put the two together. Came out pretty good I think!!
People with cat ears are very popular, and I think they are really cute... :) I wanted to get a closeup of the pic, and give people the chance to see it up close. My mom really liked the colors in this, and my brother said that this seemed like it was straight out of a manga... their comments made me so happy!! I would like to do more like this, and hopefully more detailed.

Wavy Hair
I drew this on the back of receipt tape... I really like it. Although it must be obvious by now that I like the "Over the shoulder look" when I draw girls/women. Not sure why, guess it's just personal preferences. I am happy though that I updated my blog.... took me like forever... I am working on something to draw next, hopefully for Illustration Friday (IF).
Kimono Girl 3
My third installment of my "Kimono Girl" series. I gave this to a girl where I work, and I loved the colors in this one- I really like how this came out. If you wouldn't mind, please zoom in on the picture... It helps to see all the colors.
Kimono Girl 2
A second kimono girl... I slightly messed up on the sleeves; they were supposed to be shorter, indicating that she was married. But I can always try again later. I originally drew her right before we moved, and then finally finished it about a month when we finished moving.

Kimono Girl
This is a pic I did while in my down time. (I was in the middle of moving to another State while drawing this). I intend to draw more, and hopefully with the kimonos and the obi (sash) being more elaborate.
Because this girl is wearing a longer sleeved kimono, this means she is single. Married women have shorter sleeves. Sometimes even the tie of the obi will tell you if the girl is married or not. Very interesting, isn't it?? I will have to look up the different ways of tying the obi, and then have a little fun drawing them.

A Cat
I really like cats... I would like to draw more of them but they always end up looking weird, and I just so happened to get lucky with this guy. (YAY). A friend of mine is a cat o-taku. (A Japanese term for someone who is obsessed with something.). So for a little practice I would like to draw more cat pics for her. In the end I am not that skilled at drawing cats and would like to become better at doing so. So, you can look forward to more cat pics coming soon. =^-^=

A Girl with a Hat Winking
A girl with a hat winking... yeah... couldn't I be a little more imaginative than that?? Nope. Because I am lazy (at times), and I admit that. I am simply describing the action that is taking place within the picture. If I wanted to get a little more into it, I could call it; "Girl standing looking up holding a hat and winking." So, now you see why I simply call it, "A girl with a hat winking" because the other name is too much of a mouthful, in my opinion. Or "Girl with a Hat"... more simple, but does not fit.
I do not apply laziness to my drawings, or at least I try not to. But my laziness comes in when the title comes around. "What do I call this?... Oh, I know! I will call it what it is!" I am afraid I am not entirely original in the naming of drawings area... I would rather simply draw the picture than title it. And so, after all of that rather senseless explanation... you can now see why I do not really bother with naming the drawing... I am terrible at it.

Bobcats
This is a picture that I drew for a friend. I think I might have went a little crazy in shading and drawing fur, but it came out well. I have been practicing drawing fur of some animals, because I cannot seem to get it right. I managed to get a little bit of the effect that I wanted, so now comes a sigh of relief.
